Shravan Kukerja's birthday celebration was in a true-blue Nawabi style at Hotel centre Point in Nagpur

The funny thing about surprise parties is that they hardly end up being a surprise in the end. But, Ritu Kukerja's surprise birthday party for her hubby, Shravan, managed to stay one, after all! The hut ke Mughal-e-azam theme was full of drama and fun, as all the Anarkalis and Salims, aka enthusiastic guests, came decked in pristine white clothes along with satin scarves draped around their necks.They also wrapped jasmine gajras around their wrists to stay in sync with the theme. Birthday boy stood out, flaunting his Lucknawi topi in style, adding to the Nawabi theme. Quite a few guests were spotted indulging in mouth-watering Vodka pani puri. When the clock struck 12, the b'day boy was made to cut three custom-made cakes. Shravan said, "My wife used to tell me that she is going out for a kitty party, but I later learnt that she was meeting my friends and planning this birthday surprise. I'm overwhelmed."Adding a tinge of musical tadka, city singer Ishaan sang the unplugged version of Main tenu samjhawa ki dedicating especially to the couples.
